Hard at work!

It's great to see the effort you are all making to keep learning while you are at home.
Well done everyone!

Light and Shadows

Last week's activity for Art was to make Shadow puppets. With all the nice weather we had, there were shadows everywhere but this is a wonderful puppet theatre that could be made at home to entertain all the family!

Nature All Around

I hope you’re all getting out and about, having fun and getting up close with nature! With all the walking everyone is doing these days, it’s a great opportunity for learning more about the world around us. On one of my walks this week, I found this nest on the road, it must have fallen from a nearby tree. It’s small, warm and cosy, made from hay, soft feathers and horse hair! I’m sure the little birds that hatched have learned how to fly and are off exploring the hedges and trees, in search of friends and fun!

Design an Ice-cream!

One of Room 12's tasks last week was to design an ice-cream, yum! Well, I definitely think I'd be happy with this ice-cream with all the beautiful weather over the Bank Holiday weekend!

A message from Wendy!

Hi girls,

I’ve just been hearing from Ms. Meehan about the fantastic work that all of you have been doing at home to keep yourselves busy during the school closure. I am delighted to hear that you are all doing so well. I’ve been checking out our school blog too and well done to the girls on the wonderful pieces of art you created, I can see lots of hard work went into your pieces.

I’ve been busy too helping my daughter Emily with her school work, making a rockery in our garden and walking our dog Georgie, which takes a very long time as he likes to sniff everything along the way AND sits down a lot to have lots of rests. I wonder if our Mung Bean experiments are like giant beanstalks now it’s that long since we last seen them. Ha-Ha!

Keep going with the great work girls and remember to have lots of outdoor fun too.

Hope to see you all soon.  Stay safe and take care. Wendy

A message from Lorraine!

Hi ladies,

I’m so happy to say “hello!” I have missed you all so, so much!

I hope you are all keeping well, learning lots and helping out at home. You were all so good at being responsible in the classroom that I’m sure you are being great girls at home.

Time is going by so fast, it is hard being away from school but I have been hearing from teacher that you are all trying your best and that is so important. I have seen some lovely art on Facebook and on our blog! Well done!

I have been busy since school closed. I have been out in my garden a lot, we have been so lucky with the lovely weather! I have been walking a lot too and trying to keep my mind on all the positive things that are happening around us.

I am looking forward to seeing you all again as soon as it is safe to be back in school. Keep busy, keep having fun and keep safe!

Love,

Lorraine xx

A message from Arlene!

To all the lovely girlies in Room 12,

I hope ye are all keeping safe and happy! I am missing school and all of you in Room 12 terribly! But I am looking forward to seeing all of you again very soon.

I hope you have been enjoying your time off and outside lots, keeping active and enjoying the lovely summer sun! And keeping up as best you can with some school work!

I have been using my time off to get lots of jobs done around my house! I have been planting flowers in my garden and some strawberries too! I will show you pictures when they begin to grow! I also have painted my whole house!

I have been trying to keep active by going for a short walk every day, and some days I go for a big long walk if I have lots of energy or I am feeling confused and worried with what is going on! I find it really helps!!

I am really enjoying reading and seeing on Facebook the work you have been doing! Keep it up, yous are doing fantastic!

See you soon guys,

Arlene X
