A Visit From Dog's Trust

What a great start to Monday morning! We had a visitor from Dog's Trust and he brought in his lovely dog, Magic, to meet us. He taught us lots of important things about caring for dogs. We learned that if a dog is in his bed, leave him sleep and don't pet him until he is out of bed. We know that lots of human food is poisonous for dogs (like grapes, onions, chocolate, avocados) so only feed them dog food. We learned that we should not pet dogs we don't know, only go up to them if they have an owner with them.

We learned that if you see a stray dog and they are coming up to you, you should do the "X-Factor" pose and look up! They might sniff you, but they will get bored and go away. Don't run or shout or else they might chase you!

Dog's Trust take in dogs each year that don't have an owner or from people who don't want them anymore. Their advice is
"A dog is for life, not just for Christmas".
Paul gave us a certificate, a worksheet and a magnet as a prize for learning so much!
Thanks Paul!
