Our EGGciting EGGsperiment

We were learning about taking care of our teeth. Wendy showed us how to do a really cool Science Experiment to see the effect that liquids have on our teeth. We put eggs in different liquids and waited 3 days before checking them and seeing the results.
Here are the eggs in the jars of liquids.

Today we opened the jars and here is what happened.

The biggest change in colour was the egg in tea. The shell turned a really dark brown. The egg in Coke had black and brown spots all over it.

The vinegar was the most disgusting one. The shell dissolved in the vinegar and the egg turned to jelly! Horrible! Don't eat this one! 

Thanks a million Wendy! We learned a lot about our teeth.

Heart Symmetry

During Art today, we finished off patterns on heart shapes to make them symmetrical. Lots of hearts in Room 12 this week, we are getting ready for Valentine's Day!

Reader's Theatre

Here we are, practising our Reader's Theatre script of "The Ugly Duckling". Everyone has a part to play and we are reading with lots of expression.

After a lovely few months, we said goodbye to Mary. We had an afternoon tea party as a surprise! We will miss her and hope to see her again soon.

Operation Transformation Continues in Room 12!

Another day of cooking healthy, delicious food in Room 12. We have been inspired by the meals on the Operation Transformation website and today we cooked a gorgeous Bacon and Tomato Pasta. Yummy!
