A message from Wendy!

Hi girls,

I’ve just been hearing from Ms. Meehan about the fantastic work that all of you have been doing at home to keep yourselves busy during the school closure. I am delighted to hear that you are all doing so well. I’ve been checking out our school blog too and well done to the girls on the wonderful pieces of art you created, I can see lots of hard work went into your pieces.

I’ve been busy too helping my daughter Emily with her school work, making a rockery in our garden and walking our dog Georgie, which takes a very long time as he likes to sniff everything along the way AND sits down a lot to have lots of rests. I wonder if our Mung Bean experiments are like giant beanstalks now it’s that long since we last seen them. Ha-Ha!

Keep going with the great work girls and remember to have lots of outdoor fun too.

Hope to see you all soon.  Stay safe and take care. Wendy

A message from Lorraine!

Hi ladies,

I’m so happy to say “hello!” I have missed you all so, so much!

I hope you are all keeping well, learning lots and helping out at home. You were all so good at being responsible in the classroom that I’m sure you are being great girls at home.

Time is going by so fast, it is hard being away from school but I have been hearing from teacher that you are all trying your best and that is so important. I have seen some lovely art on Facebook and on our blog! Well done!

I have been busy since school closed. I have been out in my garden a lot, we have been so lucky with the lovely weather! I have been walking a lot too and trying to keep my mind on all the positive things that are happening around us.

I am looking forward to seeing you all again as soon as it is safe to be back in school. Keep busy, keep having fun and keep safe!

Love,

Lorraine xx

A message from Arlene!

To all the lovely girlies in Room 12,

I hope ye are all keeping safe and happy! I am missing school and all of you in Room 12 terribly! But I am looking forward to seeing all of you again very soon.

I hope you have been enjoying your time off and outside lots, keeping active and enjoying the lovely summer sun! And keeping up as best you can with some school work!

I have been using my time off to get lots of jobs done around my house! I have been planting flowers in my garden and some strawberries too! I will show you pictures when they begin to grow! I also have painted my whole house!

I have been trying to keep active by going for a short walk every day, and some days I go for a big long walk if I have lots of energy or I am feeling confused and worried with what is going on! I find it really helps!!

I am really enjoying reading and seeing on Facebook the work you have been doing! Keep it up, yous are doing fantastic!

See you soon guys,

Arlene X

A message from Fiona!

Hi girls,

I hope you are all well. I have heard you are doing amazing work!! I have seen some pictures of you on our school's Facebook page, and oh my how very grown up you have gotten, and so tall!!!!

Do you know what I'm doing? I'm writing in a journal everyday, just a few lines about how I'm feeling, what I have done on that day and writing a positive message every day, because sometimes the days can be tough and scary, and that's okay too.

I have been doing lots of walking, how lucky we are with the beautiful weather!!! Getting out into the fresh air is great for our bodies but very, very important for our minds.

Do you know what else I've been doing??? Baking!!!!! Lots and lots of baking!!! I will show you a picture!! And you know what else??? Reading great adventure books, and knitting!! Yes knitting!!! I'm knitting a blanket for my dogs!!! And you know what ELSE I've been doing? Dressing up in tutus and dancing!!!

I am missing all your beautiful faces and all the fun we have together in Room 12 and I hope we are all back together soon.

Lots of love

Fiona.

Ps wash them hands and keep smiling. Xxx

Broad Beans!

Way back at the start of March, in Room 12, we set some Broad Beans from seeds we harvested off last year’s plant. Some of our pupils took their plants home when the schools closed. I hope they are growing nicely! Here is one that I brought home to look after, I planted it outside today and I’m sure it will grow even more in this lovely weather!

Maybe these little guys will pop by and loosen up the soil so they can get plenty air, food and water!

We have been busy in my house planting lots of seeds and plants today. Gardening is great fun and eating the delicious food that grows, is even better!
Happy gardening!

Keeping busy while at home!

While schools are closed, we are all finding new ways to learn and keep ourselves busy. I am doing lots of reading, baking and walking with my dog, Marley! I have also been looking through old photographs and enjoying all the memories! I thought I would share a fun photo with you, it made me laugh when I found it. Here I am with my brother, playing cowboys and dressing up! Maybe you could ask at home if you could look at old family photos too!

The Restaurant is open!

There must be a lovely smell coming from someone's kitchen because these cookies look delicious! When we're all back in school, I think we will have to ask for this recipe!

Happy Monday!

Happy Monday! Another lovely day today, the weather is so nice! Try to go outside for fresh air and some really important Vitamin D! I just wanted to let all of our Room 12 buddies know that “Happiness”, our class plant, is home relaxing while school is closed but he’s doing really well!

It's May!

I hope everyone enjoyed their May Bank Holiday weekend! I hope you all did lots of fun things for Active Home week. We did a lot of walking, skipping and jogging in my house! This week, we are doing a charity walk so we have to walk at least 1km each day, some days we are doing this in our garden! Aren't we lucky the weather has been good?
Room 12 should be all set up for using Microsoft Teams for our work from now on! It's exciting being able to learn in new ways. Don't forget to check in and see what you have to do each day!
